Vicious Kitten Bring Live Music Back to The Sir Joshua Reynolds – Plympton!

Saturday 26th April 2025 was one for the books as we had the honour of being the first live band back at The Sir Joshua Reynolds in Plympton since live music was (unfairly!) banned in the area by a local councillor. Judging by the energy, the crowd had been thirsty for live tunes, and wow, did it show!

The atmosphere was electric from the off—so much so that Josh jumped behind the bar mid-song and rocked out with the bar staff! Massive shoutout to the amazing team and the landlady for their support and for throwing themselves into the vibe.

Despite many of Plymouth's local bands being out and about playing across the city, we were honoured to have such a brilliant crowd turn out to party with us. You lot made it one to remember.

We also unveiled our new programmed light show, and it looked absolutely incredible—timed beautifully with the groove (especially when we accidentally overdid the fog machine!). Thankfully, no fire alarms were set off this time... phew!

Next stop: we’re heading back to The Swan Hotel, Wadebridge on 3rd May 2025—always a lively night, and we can't wait.
